Dating Asian women is not difficult, even if you don’t live anywhere near Asia. Asian women love dating foreign men, American men and Asian girls make wonderful girlfriends and wives. You don’t even need to go to Asia as there are Asian women available at online Asian dating site locations right across the world wide web. Forget the old, insulting term mail order bride. These are beautiful Asian women who want to meet you and not all want marriage. Many Asian singles are looking for friendship and not just a free ticket to the United States.

You can find Asian women living, studying and working all over the world. In the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Puerto Rico, South Africa and even Canada and the USA. Many are free to browse the members and even post your own profile.

Thai women, Chinese women, Filipino women, you can meet Asian women from a dozen countries. All are beautiful and hold far more traditional values than their liberated western sisters. But this doesn’t mean they are subservient, far from it. Most Asian cultures are matriarchal, meaning the women are the real bosses. They just have the good grace and common sense to let us men think we are running the show. Which means while dating Asian women you must treat her like a lady she also expects you to behave like a man and make decisions for her. She’ll let you know  if your choice of restaurant isn’t her preference. You just need to be in tune with her Asian female signals.

My advice is to take her somewhere nice and friendly, preferably public and definitely somewhere she can admit to having been with you! Face is all important to each one of us but more so for Asian women. There is every chance she is a little raver that can’t wait to get her gear off and into the cot but that doesn’t mean she wants anyone to know about it. Private means private.

I take my first dates to the zoo or a fun park. I make it a daytime date if I know them or if still pretty unknown to me, then often just a coffee at Starbucks. That way if she is boring I can put the hard word on her and if no luck, we are both free to go our separate ways.

If she is a definite fun person and someone I would want to see more than once, then I make it a fun day date and leave the evening free to see if it follows on naturally. Most often it does and we dine casually as befits our day time dress. The next date will be the formal evening out to a swanky restaurant, then dancing at a top night club and then down to business. Never fails no matter which city I’m in and I have done this in Manila, Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo.

I often get asked and just as often told outright that all Asian women want families and large ones at that. The truth is that this is not always the case. Women anywhere in the world usually want to fulfill their biological role and become a mother at some stage in their lives. It is a natural thing. Asian women are more like their western sisters than dissimilar in so many ways and this is another of them.

If you look at Chinese women, they often want to have more than the single child current government policy has decreed. Too many selected the sex of their one allowed offspring and chose boys for cultural reasons. Now, there aren’t enough girls to go around! Having two kids would have allowed families to have a boy and a girl but then there would be over 2 billion Chinese on the planet!

Singaporean women might also be more career minded whereas a Filipina at any level of society could be clamoring for kids. The thing is not to prejudge any woman’s hopes and dreams based on her ethnicity, it is not an accurate guide. Far better to ask her when the time is right. When is that? Well not when you are asking her out for the first time!

Why not treat a date with an Asian woman as no different to one with a western woman? Just go out and see if there is any chemistry there, take it one step at a time. If your only or main reason for the date is to get her into the cot then that is up to you and her but you have exactly the same chance of success with her as you do with a white, black or brown woman from anywhere on Earth. 50/50. Either she will or she won’t. And the same odds hold true for whether she wants a date or a deadline for fatherhood!

The two main characters in the novel are Pete and Joy. Pete has just moved to Bangkok for work and meets and falls in love with Joy who is working in a gogo bar. We follow their story in an almost predictable sequence of events that lead to disaster.

What makes Private dancer interesting is that we are presented with a whole range of perspectives including that of more traditional and conservative Thai’s who find the behavior of many foreigners equally disturbing to that of the bar girls.

At the end of the novel I did not feel empathy with either. I found both to be pathetic in a different way. In many ways Pete is more to blame for the disaster than Joy. Stephen used the term Sad Fucks to describe them and since reading the novel this term now comes to mind when I am confronted with similar people.
